Doing FC is hard. Doing Kinship placement is harder, especially considering the family issue. I was there before, the bio kid in a home with a kinship placement. The rest of the family thought we were mean and that the parents had done nothing wrong, that there should be no reason for us not to let the parents see the kids whenever they wanted. In the end, my parents decided it was best for the kids to go to a foster home.

See if you can get the CW's email address. Send updates after visits. How FD slept, played/did in school, reacted to correction, changes in behaviors, etc. Note both no changes, good changes, bad changes. If you can't get an email, send a letter or call. Keep them up to date and let them know of concerns.

Is there a CASA involved in the case that you can talk to about behaviors, or a GAL you can talk with concerning things that the parents are doing against court orders?
